The Moniteau County R-1 School District (California, MO) - California High School in California, Missouri, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead our high school and middle school band program for the 26-27 school year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, uphold high standards of character, sportsmanship, and work ethic, and create an environment where students can develop academically and personally. The successful candidate has strong leadership skills, is able to effectively communicate, teach, and implement the fundamentals of effective instrumental music education. Duties include, but are not limited to: Instrumental Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, and Drumline. Teaching responsibilities also include a Music Appreciation class at the high school. The band is expected to participate in conference, district, and state-level events. The position does have an extended contract component as compensation for band camp, which is normally held in July.
