The Moniteau County R-1 School District (California, MO) is currently seeking a head boys basketball coach for California High School for the 2025-2026 school year due to retirement.  We are looking for a highly motivated head coach.  Responsibilities for the successful candidate will be coaching individual participants in the skills necessary for the team to reach its potential.  The head coach will be responsible for planning efficient practice schedules to ensure game success.  The head coach will work closely with the athletic director on schedules, MSHSAA and school paperwork, and team issues.  You will be in charge of a yearly budget, two assistant coaches, practice schedules, making sure all team members have physicals and required paperwork and organizing and supervising the total boys basketball program.  The head candidate must also demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills.  

 

Position reports to Athletic Director, Building Principal, and Superintendent.
